January 26: Transition to Kindergarten Fair

Is your Berks County child entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2012? If so, join us at the Transition to Kindergarten Fair!

WHAT: Transition to Kindergarten Fair, presented by Berks Early Care and Education Council and the Local Education and Resource Network

WHEN: Thursday, January 26, 2012 (snow date is February 2, 2012)

TIME: 4:30 to 6:00 pm

WHERE: BCIU Education Centre, 2101 Centre Ave., Reading

HIGHLIGHTS: Parents and caregivers of preschool children, ages four and five, and entering kindergarten in September 2012 are invited to attend this free event.

Opportunities include:

• Meet with representatives from your school district to learn more about kindergarten registration and transition activities;
• Receive materials to help prepare your child to begin school (while supplies last);
• Learn more about learning and developmental activities specially designed for beginning kindergarten;
• Visit resource and vendor displays.
