Clynt's Card

Getting a library card is so exciting! Share one little boy's excitement in Lycoming County as he begins his journey on the path to life-long literacy!
Clynt is two. He celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago, so his mother decided it was time for him to get his own library card. Clynt is about so high--definitely not tall enough to see over our circulation counter--except for the day our staff handed him his very own card. Even from my desk I could see the top of Clynt's head bobbing above the counter as he bounced up and down with excitement.
Each time Clynt and his family visit the Muncy Public Library, he beams as he proudly hands his library card up to the librarian. As she checks out each book he has chosen, his eyes shine with excitement. Anybody who observes Clynt can tell that he loves visiting the library, and that he loves books.
Thanks to his family, he is developing a life-long love of learning. They bring him to the library regularly, and they encourage him to make his own book choices as well as use his own library card. Clynt is fortunate to be growing up in a house full of book lovers and library users!
