October 10-14: Children's Art Show to Stand for Children

Discover what's happening in Clarion County!
The public is invited to attend an art show hosted by Community Action, Inc.’s Local Education and Resource Network (LEARN) Project in conjunction with the Early Childhood Education Program at Clarion University of PA in honor of Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children Month.
Artwork from approximately 55 children depicting “What I Want to Be When I Grow Up” will be on display October 10 through 14, 2011 at the Clarion Free Library, 644 Main Street, Clarion, PA. The show is coordinated by Clarion University of PA students Ashlea Cowher, Sara DeRiggi and Heather Iman from Dr. Peggy Apple’s Leadership in Early Childhood Settings course as a Stand for Children Advocacy Project. Children from Allegheny-Clarion Valley PA Pre-K Counts, Carol McGuire’s Family Daycare, Clarion Hospital Daycare, Clarion PA Pre-K Counts and Clarion YMCA/Immaculate Conception Afterschool Program have submitted artwork to display during this show.
