Siblings Airalyn and Lyric shine with STARS quality
My grandchildren have been going to SmartKids Child Care and Learning Center in Washington for a total of four years. Airalyn started going there when she was 13 months old. She had been in a home-based day care and I looked into SmartKids at first only because the home-based day care was not willing to help potty train her. When I first looked into SmartKids I was very impressed that it was a safe and nurturing place for her to grow.
When Airalyn first went there, she was shy and did not know many colors, shapes, counting, etc. I noticed a huge difference in her after only a couple of months. Children need to feel safe and secure in order to learn and that is exactly what Smart Kids did for her. She opened up and was not shy anymore and knew her colors, shapes, and how to count. All of the teachers and staff at SmartKids are very good at what they do.
Airalyn went from the toddler room to the preschool program at SmartKids and she did very well. Then she moved to the Pre-K room and when Airalyn started school this year, she was above average because of what she had learned at SmartKids. She is a “Shining STAR” and she overcame challenges because of the care of the staff and quality of activities that they perform.
Lyric is my grandson and he has been with SmartKids since he was 11 months old. He will be three years-old in August. He has grown in so many ways. He has learned to count, knows his colors and shapes, and is also a Shining STAR.
The staff at SmartKids Child Care and Learning Center is so supportive and they are not just our day care, they are our extended family. When I drop them off, I am not scared to leave them. I know they are not only in good hands but will also learn a lot while they are there.
