Families from a Keystone STARS program share how their children are prepared for the future
At the close of the school year, parents from the Jefferson-DeFrees Center in Warren County were asked to reflect on the experiences of their children during the year. This is a summary of the parent testimonials that were received.
- My child is better prepared for what lies ahead because the JD helped my child to adjust to social environments and to be less shy. My child also learned to understand the classroom environment as well.
- The JD has worked with our children to prepare them for their next level in education. They have communicated so well with us. They are an amazing group of people who definitely deserve to be recognized for what they do for the children and families who attend the child care.
- Preschool has helped my child become less shy and more social. She has learned her colors, letters and shapes. Preschool has given my child the building blocks she needs to prepare for Kindergarten. I am very pleased with the program.
- She has learned so much from her days at school. She walks better upstairs/downstairs. She can say sounds and pick out her ABCs. She is socially ready to make friends wherever she goes. She is ready.
- Preschool has helped my child become more expressive with others. She is a very shy child. She has also learned all her letters, how to hare and how to be nice to all her friends. It has helped her to blossom into a wonderful little girl ready for kindergarten.
- My daughter’s social skills have really improved. I also feel that academically she is prepared for Kindergarten.
- My child had learned all numbers and letters. He sings class songs and had made many friends. All around this had been the most rewarding year for preschool with the JD. The teachers are great!
