Always keep in touch

A Schuylkill County mom shares her experience at a Keystone STAR 4 program and promises to always keep in touch

The following was a letter sent to Michelle Dallago, the owner and director of Perception Training, Pottsville, a Keystone STARS 4 program.

Michelle,

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for my family the past 11yrs.  I will never forget my mother in law telling me, she saw an article in the Pottsville Republican about a new school that she thought would be great for Drew! Little did she know the impact it would make on our lives.

I remember looking up to you in high school. I was a freshman and can remember your speech for Winter Carnival, and you being head cheerleader. I thought I want to be like that! You are truly a leader Michelle! You had a dream a followed it! It was your dream, but it also has benefited the community as well.

I will never forget the time Drew had an ear infection and I couldn't leave work right away.  Your sister rocked him, and held him through his pain, until I could get there.  All the help you gave us with Dylan, allowed us early on to get him speech and physical therapy.  He never needed any help once he got to school and is at the top of his class.  If he hadn't have gotten the extra help he needed, it may of not been noticed by the school district and he may of been struggling now!  You supported me when I tried to go back to work full time and was always there to talk to when I needed some advise.  You took Ryan and Aidan right back when I decided to stay home.

I believe my kids are doing so well because of your school and the head start you and your staff had given them.  I will always keep in touch and let you know how they are doing.  I felt this the first time I talked to you way back in Feb. of 2001, we have never been a customer to you, but a part of your family.

I truly believe that you care for my boys, as well as every teacher they have had there.  Miss Pat is a fabulous teacher.  She is amazing and you better never let her go!! Miss Joie was great with Dylan and I will never forget her as well.

It saddens me that this part of my kid’s education is over, but I know Kenny and I made the right choice in sending them to you! As a mom you know that every day you might question, “ am I doing the right thing, should I have done that.”  Well for the 12yrs that I have been a mom, your program has been the one of the easiest decisions I had to make, and know I have definitely have done the right thing.

Thank you Michelle and to your entire staff!  Kenny and I will always remember all that you did for us!

Rosie
