The theme of the all-day conference, which will be held at Lehigh Carbon Community College's main campus on Monday, October 8, 2012, is "Leading Children to Discovery." Workshops, presentations and activities are all built around this theme.
Registration for the Lehigh Valley Early Care & Education Professional Development Day is now open. The conference, sponsored by Penn State Extension in Lehigh County, with support from the Northeast Regional Key, provides on-going professional development for early childhood educators in Northampton and Lehigh counties. The theme of the all-day conference, which will be held at Lehigh Carbon Community College’s main campus on Monday, October 8, 2012, is “Leading Children to Discovery.” Workshops, presentations and activities are all built around this theme.
“This conference will help early childhood educators expand their skills in helping children develop a zest for learning, exploring and discovering. The use of the environment, nature and scientific inquiry will be emphasized throughout the conference.” said Denise H. Continenza, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator/Prevention Affiliate at Penn State Extension-Lehigh County.
