Would you like to make a greater impact for children in your community?

Pennsylvania’s Local Education and Resource Network (LEARN) Partners can help build support networks in every county for organizations and individuals interested in quality early education.

LEARN Partners can                        

    • Affect change at the local, regional and state levels;
    • Use the LEARN network to help fulfill their mission;
    • Build cohesiveness within their community around quality early learning; and
    • Take advantage of promotional opportunities through Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children website and campaign.

Becoming a LEARN Partner is FREE and open to any individual or organization in Pennsylvania that has an interest in community outreach, family engagement, and/or transition to Kindergarten.

  • Sign up as a LEARN Partner and receive email updates that provide you with information about quality early learning you want to know
  • Visit the online Learning Communities where you can download information, network with colleagues and get valuable peer-to-peer feedback
  • Get access to local LEARN Partners who also have an interest in quality early learning!

There are three Learning Communities available--Community Outreach, Family Engagement, and Transition to Kindergarten. When you sign up as a LEARN Partner, you can choose to participate in one, two or three of the Learning Communities. Each provides an opportunity to access information at a level of involvement that's right for you.

The Community Outreach Learning Community provides information & supports to help you educate policymakers, and school & community leaders in support of quality early education.

In this community, receive information & updates on making the case for quality early learning, building relationships with policymakers, effective media relations, and tools to use information like OCDEL’s Reach and Risk Report.

 

 

 

Transition to Kindergarten header

The Transition to Kindergarten Learning Community provides information and supports you need to ensure a smooth transition from an early learning setting to a formal school setting, such as kindergarten.

In this community, discover how to use the OCDEL Transition Toolkit; get school district transition information; and find out about early learning transition information.

 

 

Family engagement header

The Family Engagement Learning Community provides information and supports you need to engage families around quality early learning.

In this community, receive introductions to new products or resources that help you reach those families; get invitations & supports to participate in initiatives that encourage family engagement; and information on the latest materials to engage families.

  1. Sign up to be a LEARN Partner. When you sign up, you can select one, two, or three Learning Communities!
  2. Explore the Learning Communities and decide which Learning Community is right for you.
  3. Contact your Regional Key to discuss your interest in being a LEARN Partner. They can help you discover what is available in your county, or even help you decide which Learning Community might fit your needs.
  4. Read Becoming a LEARN Partner for Frequently Asked Questions.
  5. Visit Pennsylvania's Promise for Children to read stories from families, early learning professionals and others, sign the Declaration or submit your story about the impacts you've seen of quality early learning!
  6. Explore the online Learning Communities. Find out how you can join the Transition to Kindergarten and Family Engagement online Learning Community and the Community Outreach Learning Community.
