Whether through home-based services or in an early learning program, your work isn't just a job, it's a passion.
Tell us why you are committed to providing quality early learning to the children and families you serve.
- How does quality early learning fit into your/ your organization's mission and vision?
- What has motivated you to go the extra mile to provide quality early learning? Was there particular research? Experiences you've had with children and families?
- Have you seen a broader impact in your community that has motivated you to continue to improve quality?
- What have you done to show your commitment to quality early learning?
- How would you encourage others to share your commitment to quality early learning?

2. Why do teachers matter?
Research shows that having a qualified teacher is key to providing a quality early education.
Tell us why qualified teachers are important to your program and services.
- How do quality teachers in your program make a difference in the quality of your early learning program?
- What makes a teacher a "quality" teacher? What skills or education should they have?
- What efforts have you taken to improve the quality of teachers in your program? What challenges do you face to help them earn higher education, or provide them with competitive compensation so they stay at your program?

3. Why participate in Keystone STARS? What has Keystone STARS done for you and the children in your program?
Keystone STARS is a voluntary program that promotes quality in child care and Head Start programs. The supports are customized for each program based on its needs and commitment to quality improvement.
Tell us how Keystone STARS has made a difference in your program and the children and families you serve.
- Why did you enroll your program in Keystone STARS? What did you hope to gain by participating in STARS?
- What supports have you received (technical assistance, support grants, merit awards, ERA, T.E.A.C.H.)? What were you able to achieve as a result of these supports? (e.g., new materials, more education for staff, improvement in curriculum)
- What advice would you give to other programs to encourage them to participate in Keystone STARS?
